Questions And Answers About Blue Planet Water:

1. How many steps are in the filtration/purification process?

Multiple steps and stages are included in the filtration and purification process, beginning with Reverse Osmosis. Through the RO Process, 98% of any natural and man-made contaminants are removed, in this first purification stage. In the second stage, a proprietary process is used to remove any residual contaminants and focuses on the removal of any charged particles, such as man-made inorganic contaminants that are in a small molecular size and weight, and may be carcinogenic, such as MTBE and Arsenic that have been found in varying degrees in many states. In this second stage, any remaining molecular material, along with its memory residue, is removed and the water is polished and readied for remineralization.

2. What is ionization? How does it make a difference in the water?

Ionization is the adding or eliminating of ions or electrons. Blue Planet Water is both deionized and ionized. In the purification process the water is deionized, and in the enhancement process the water is ionized with electrons and electro-chemical properties. The addition of energy to the water known as ionization also has a significant effect on the bond angles of the water molecule. They diminish the bond angles between water molecules thus allowing for a tighter configuration of molecules to form a cluster. Additionally, these electron enhanced bonds are more readily dissociated. This process means that the water is more reactive, acts as a superior solvent, penetrates through barriers more readily (cell walls) and ultimately provides a superior mechanism for hydration. Water ionization is one of the key aspects that makes Blue Planet Water and W4L a superior absorbable water.

3. What makes W4L purer than other filtered water?

Most waters available on the market today are either filtered, using a variety of standard filtration methods, or purified through Reverse Osmosis, or Distillation. Blue Planet and W4L water is treated and purified far more rigorously, in order to assure a safer, cleaner, more alive and organic product, which is proven to be more bioavailable, as compared to most ordinary, tap, spring or purified water sources. See above.

4. What does source independent mean?

Not Dependent on a particular source of water. In other words, because of our purification and pre-enhancement treatment process, we can utilize any source water around the world and produce the same quality of Enhanced Drinking Water. Thus eliminating the need to truck or ship water from a particular source in the world, and saving in costs to the consumer and to the natural environment.

5. What's the difference between tap water, spring water, filtered water and W4L water?

Tap water flows from the tap and has been treated in most cases by municipal water systems, carrying chlorine and fluoride additives.

Spring Water is a natural source that flows to the surface with a variety of mineral dissolved solids, which may or not be able to be assimilated by the body, due to their size, and molecular form.

Filtered water is a catch-all phrase to suggest water treatment and safety. However, the filtering of water may or may not provide an adequate level of purity or safety. It depends on the source water that is available or is being filtered. Next, the filtering process can be an extensive process or a minimal process, as in most filtering mechanisms attached to a faucet or installed in a water pitcher format. Generally the filtering of water is for the intent of removing certain organic or inorganic mineral contaminants, and can use any number of water quality filtration processes, and/or grades of membranes for a desired qualitative outcome.

6. What's the life of the water?

The life of most bottled waters is generally accepted by the International Water Bottler's Association as having a shelf-life of two years. However, we suggest that water not be stored in a PET (plastic) or PLA (polylactic acid-corn-biodegradable) bottle for more than 6 months, in order to avoid the potential of any outside contamination and to help maintain the water's enhanced and life-giving-properties.

7. What is the effect of heat and light?

Heat and cold has no effect on the enhanced properties of Blue Planet or W4L Waters. However, light can degrade some of its properties over time, which is why we use a colored blue bottle to diffuse its effects. Visible light has a known deterioration factor on relative ORP (oxidation-reduction potential). This means that the longer the water is exposed to full spectrum light the more electrons are liberated from the water resulting in an increase of ORP. Fortunately this can be minimized by placing the water in a colored bottle that does not allow for the full spectrum of light to penetrate into the water. Also, pH is independent of light and therefore is unaffected by this elemental factor.

8. Will you be using biodegradable bottles?

Coming soon in 2007!

9. How does Ion Enhanced Water compare or differ from just a purified-reverse osmosis water?

One of the major differences between reverse osmosis water (RO) and an Ion Enhanced Water is that RO water leaves the water dead without any detectable traces of electron activity. The lower the electron activity of the water, the more inactive or dead the water becomes. An RO water will not behave with the same electrochemical characteristics as an Ion Enhanced Water. An ionized water has distinct advantages over a purified water, whether it be from an RO or Distillation Process. Among these properties are enhanced reactivity, acting as a superior solvent, penetrating through barriers more readily (cell walls) and ultimately providing a superior mechanism for hydration.

10. How does this process compare or differ from waterless water?

Did you mean wetter water? BPW and W4L water is structured water, designed and scientifically engineered to have a lower surface tension and smaller molecular clusters, thus creating what is called a "wetter" or more bioavailable water. In this patented and scientific process, the wetting or hydrating angle of the water bonds are changed to have levels that are similar to the levels found in the body's biological fluids. Ionization or in this case the addition of electrons to the waters molecular chemistry physically alters the bond angle formed between the opposing O-H sides of the molecule. This alteration in bond angle allows for two molecules to fit more closely together resulting in a smaller tighter cluster. The proximity of the geometrical pattern does not stop at just two molecules, but extends well into larger expanded numbers. The greater the ionization energy potential in the water, the smaller the bond angle, the smaller the cluster, the more readily usable or bioavailable the water becomes.

11. Why are the electrolytes and minerals that you put back into the water better for you than the naturally occurring electrolytes and minerals in water?

The minerals and electrolytes that are supplemented for taste and biochemistry, are provided in the same ratio as the biological fluids at the cellular level. The mineral formula is a proprietary titrated, homeopathic compound preparation, biochemically balanced to correspond to the normal content of healthy human plasma, in the same ratio that the body needs and use it. We know from our scientific investigations in water, that too many minerals in a water product can cause mineral congestion at the cellular level. And too few minerals or water that is void of any minerals can cause precious minerals and electrolytes to be robbed and depleted from the body, for normal body/brain functions. Many of the minerals that naturally occur in water are a result of minerals that were chelated or removed from various layers of structural rock formations. Often these minerals are not bioavailable. Therefore their addition to a water only serves to place undo stress upon the kidneys, while adding no actual value or benefit to the water or the body. Only minerals that are bioavailable and usable by the body will serve a true benefit to the consumer. It must also be stressed that excess minerals, even bioavailable ones, will place undo stress on the kidneys when they are bound to a water molecule. That is why it is essential to deliver a mineral dosage that is complimentary to the ratio of minerals found in the interstitial environment.

12. What are the benefits of the high Ph level in the water?

Helps balance body acids that can be created from the digestive processes, as well as stress, exercise and the consumption of high-acidic foods and diets. Our bodies produce acid at an alarming rate. These acids add to the degeneration and aging process. Our bodies work hard to buffer these acids and even rob the bone of vital mineral buffers like calcium, magnesium and potassium. An alkaline water not only helps neutralize the excess acids produced through incomplete oxidation within the body, but may also help lower or eliminate robbing of important alkaline base minerals from the bone.

13. How many molecules is the water cluster size? Approximately 6-8. What is the normal water cluster size?

Approximately 12-16.

14. If I drink an acid based drink will this alkaline water cause a reaction in my mouth?

NO. However, many anecdotal reports form people, suggest the elimination of excess acid in their digestive system, as the result of continuous consumption of the BP Alkaline Water and in some cases, the elimination of such things as heartburn, and a reduction in the need for anti-acid and inflammatory products have been reported. Heartburn, acid reflux and gird are all physiological assessments associated with an increase production of corrosive acids in the upper digestive system, particularly the esophagus. They are the single largest plague to modern man at this time, at least in our current society. More medications are prescribed on a daily basis to alleviate this ailment then any other single medical condition. The condition is actually caused by a diminished concentration of HCL (hydrochloric acid) in the stomach, resulting in putrification, rancidification and fermentation of proteins, fats and carbohydrates respectively. These incomplete digestive processes produce additional secondary by-products that are also acid; it is these acids that create the burning characteristics associated with the conditions mentioned above. Blue Planet Water has a dual role in lowering or eliminating these secondary acids. First through the alkaline pH mechanism already discussed and secondly through lowering the oxidative stress associated with digestion. Early test results indicate that the low ORP (Oxidation reduction potential) found in Blue Planet Water enhances the digestive process. Ultimately indicating that the well-being created from this water is multi-faceted and functions under numerous physiological factors.

15. What happens if I drink more than 4 bottles a day?

You may need more than 4 bottles a day, depending on your body size and physical activity. But drinking more will generally cause more frequent bathroom breaks. Our recommendation of consuming four bottles a day was based on the mathematical and physiological calculations from Guyton textbook of Physiology, the benchmark textbook of medical physiology. However, as activity levels increase or decrease, as the environment that we live in varies in relative humidity levels, and our diets contain or do not contain foods saturated with water, so too will our actual needs for a defined water volume. Research that has been conducted by Blue Planet Water, utilized the dosage of four bottles per day and was found to be beneficial and applicable across a wide range of physical parameters such as age, weight, sex and activity level. Given the regiment of just four bottles of Blue Planet Water per day we were able to demonstrate a baseline increase in a number of functional health benefits, due in part it is believed to an increase in ICW (intracellular water) concentrations.

16. Are all the science reports in the binder available digitally?

No. These are proprietary and scientific studies and are for internal use only. Any copy or duplication is prohibited without the expressed approval of Blue Planet Water.

17. Is there an authenticity certificate of Merlin's process?

See above. Technological systems and processes are a trade secret and not available for general disclosure.

18. How will quality be assured as more bottling plants are brought online?

All bottling plants used by BPW are inspected and approved on a periodic basis by the FDA, to uphold food-grade handling and procedures. BPW has a strict policy and procedure manual implemented by agreement with each bottling vendor. Water measurements are constantly monitored throughout each production run, and tested for specific values, as identified by BPW.

19. When can we get an independent lab test of the measured properties (certificate)?

You have been provided these in the preliminary document tests, by Dr. Robert Greenberg. However, you may feel free to have such tests performed at your own initiative and by a certified laboratory of your choosing.

20. What are the details of the 3 month trial?

Details to follow on or before January 1, 2007.

21. When will the study be released (as per the Business Plan: The final data is currently being collected and is expected to be completed within the next week)?
